Holy crap, Dead Space is creepy!

Well, a few things interrupted my writing.  First, I was turned down for a job at Bungie.  It was exciting to even be considered, but they really needed somebody with deeper network qualifications that I, unfortunately, lacked.  Perhaps next time.

Before I lay the blame at my sorrows for not getting a job I coveted, allow me to point out the other reason for not writing on this blog: Red Dead Redemption.

Red Dead Redemption is an incredible game.  It’s one of the few games I’ve been able to play start to finish without a serious interruption.  A little buggy, but an engaging story in a largely under-explored genre.  I managed to get every single player achievement and a few multiplayer achievements before I took a break.  I also dabbled with the Halo: Reach beta.

Other games I’ve played since my last post:
  • Mass Effect (knocked out the Tech and Biotic ability-related achievements)
  • Gears of War (completed the Insane difficulty achievements)
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Left 4 Dead 2
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • Brutal Legend (new purchase)
  • Left 4 Dead (new purchase)
  • Splosion Man (new purchase)
  • Shadow Complex (new purchase)
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum (new puchase)
  • Halo 3 (with one of my daughters on Father’s Day)
  • Borderlands (spent a lot of time on this new purchase, including some split screen co-op with my wife)
  • Battlefield: Bad Company (spent a lot of time on this too)
  • Dead Space (started to play this new purchase before deciding to wait for the appropriate mood)

So, yeah, I spent some money on games.    I’ve been sitting on a few of them for some time now and just haven’t popped them in my console.  I decided to dip into as many as I could and I’ll probably focus on getting one pass through one or two at a time while dabbling in others as time or fancy permits.
